The Younger Kid Now Also A Dr. Who Fan

Despite early rejection, the kid is a dedicated Whovian.

The nine-year-old can recite most of the actors names who have played The Doctor -- there are twelve.

Not only that, but he knows that the Tom Baker Doctor was my era and teases me about it. He and his sister actually watched an old episode and weren't particularly turned off by the crude production values -- they knew they were witnessing television history!

David Tennant, the 10th Doctor, is the current favorite.

Owing to a subscription to Netflicks, a school break, and the internet, a new fan to a television series can make a quantum jump from zero to Yoda in a few weeks. Another example of subculture being stood on its head.
