Weekend Blog Post: Taiwan 1989

Its Sunday and I want to point my head in a direction away from national politics. When I don’t have a burning topic in mind, I often look at my photo albums to find an idea to explore.

Today this was a bad idea, for every photo lead me to a dark place. It wasn’t just missed opportunities and relationships gone sour, somehow each photo became a harbinger of bad things that had happened to me.

Still, I persisted and found the above page from my first photo album from Taiwan that I made in 1989.

In the above picture, I was just seeing the sights and taking pictures at a cultural fair, oblivious to all the drama I usually wallow in.

I’m hoping a good election result will see a restoration of my consciousness to one more optimistically inclined.
