"Dadsplaining" is when I explain something to the kids and they treat my comment like I'm wearing a silly hat.
From the kids' point of view, I'm being condescending and thus am worthy target of satire.
From my point of view, the kids should be more respectful and eagerly accept my pearls of wisdom.
After all, even if I've told a story several times before, everyone should listen again and, at the very least, politely nod.
